Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Get Started?

Prior to any Walktime services commencing, Walktime must first meet you and your dog. A meeting will be arranged at your home to discuss your dog's individual needs, and confirm the dog's walk/care plan. Following this meeting the dog will be placed in an appropriate Walktime group, and/or an individual walk plan will be arranged.

Entrance/Access To Your Home

Walktime comes to you! This means Walktime will need to be able to easily access your home to collect and drop off you dog. Please make sure we have written permission to access your apartment if you live in a gated/secure complex. Clients are required to hand one (1) set of keys for buildings/houses/apartment entrance to Walktime, and any other entry codes/details that may be required to enter the building. You will be billed for the cost of any copies of keys Walktime has to make on your behalf.

Walktime walks do not include time taken to collect and drop off your dog.

Emergency Care

Walktime acknowledges that sometimes dogs will be dogs, and accidents can occur, hence Walktime is fully insured for your peace of mind.
In the event that something should happen to your dog that requires medical attention, we will do everything possible to obtain the right treatment for your dog in a timely manner. In the event that we are unable to reach you in a timely manner for whatever reason, we reserve the right to make medical decisions on your behalf for the care of your dog. You will be responsible for any veterinarian bills that result from getting your dog the medical attention that he or she needs.

Dogs' Behavior and Health Care

Walktime requires that all dogs remain current with all standard Australian vaccinations. Dogs that are not spayed or neutered will be unable to participate in group services. Walktime reserves the right to refuse service to dogs who, in its sole determination, are unhealthy, act aggressively, are undisciplined, evidence inappropriate behaviour or who may otherwise be a danger to themselves or other animals or users.   A current vaccination certificate must be produced to Walktime upon request.
